This Tournament has been in the pipeline for a number of years and only through the persistence of our past chairman has it come to fruition.
Mr Doug Crosby has always believed we must test new waters to spread the word about Lefty golf, unfortunately no left handers from South Africa were in the field,an unfortunate situation as this left us with one of the smallest fields in our short history with the number of entrants at 107.
The Courses Milnerton, Mowbray, Rondebosch and the Royal Cape were presented to the players in exceptional condition all four courses were very traditional having been originally established between 1885 and 1913, obviously they have had many upgrades.
Headquarters for the event was the very nice Cullinan Hotel (only a short walk to the water front and the V and A centre) and all the shops the ladies could enjoy.
Welcome dinner was held at Cape Sun Hotel and the Final Awards evening at the Bay Hotel in Camps Bay a short but very scenic coach ride from the headquarters.
The Tournament was played from Monday 27th October through Friday 31st.
