In 1979, a group of enthusiastic left-handed golfers, Dr. Paul Lu, M.D., John Peng, Yamaha Lin and W. H. Lee etc., formed a club to promote and enjoy golfing among left-handers. This club was later transformed into the NALG, Taiwan which now has three divisions, North, Central and South according to the geographic location of members. Today, we have 120 members in total.

The North Division is also responsible/act as the National Committee as well as for WALG activities. In January, 2001, Mr. Yamaha C. L. Yeh was elected and servered as the Chairman of NALG/Taiwan and Mr. T. H. Lai served as Secretariat

Each month, a monthly competition for members are held separately by each division and also National Championship is held annually. Since 1987, NALG/Taiwan has been participating championship overseas regularly such as WALG Championship and NALG Japan Championship.
